Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave

Hey,

 

I've been wondering what would happen if I take the black cartridge out, empty it, fill it with blue ink (bought from a local store) and put it back in. Would I be able to print anything?

I want to print a fanzine in 1 color only (1 ink) but I don't want it to be black. 

I'd like to make a risography machine out of a regular home printer.

 

Can anyone help me?

HP Recommended

It will print but it depends on how long and how would the quality of the print.

Having the right chemistry of blue ink than printhead can handle is very important.
