Reset HP OfficeJet Pro 8740 to Factory Settings

HP OfficeJet Pro 8740 All-in-One Printer Series
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Hi, I would like some information on how to reset my HP OfficeJet Pro 8740 back to  Factory Settings. There is an option called "Restore" in the Printer Maintenance setting, but it does not completely restore the printer completely to factory settings. Thanks!

@Printerz4Life

Please try from printer:

  1. Press Power button to turn the Printer On.
  2. Press BL, BL, BL, BL Buttons, in sequence. (BL stands for Bottom Left. Normally the button on the bottom left is the back arrow. And you need to do this while the front panel of the printer is on the Home screen)
  3. Touch Support Menu.
  4. Select Reset Menu and Touch OK.
  5. Select Semi-Full Reset and Touch OK.
  6. Wait for unit to Power Down/Turn Off.
  7. Press Power button to turn the Printer On.

Regards.

I realize this is thread is now rather old, but it's perhaps worth noting that the procedure described here does NOT reset the administrator password for the printer though many of the other settings are returned to default.
