HP Photosmart 7520
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My printer won't feed the paper through.  I have followed all the instructions to clean my rollers but my rollers are not turning freely and I can't see how to make them work.  I have tried cleaning them but nothing helps.  If I feed one page at a time, it sometimes catches but more often then not, it doesn't feed.

Hey @LesleyM,

I see that you are having some issues with your Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer not feeding paper. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once done, while the printer is powered on, make 10 copies of a sheet of paper. If that works correctly, please let me know. If it does not, this document outlines how to troubleshoot pick issues with your printer.

If after following the above you are still unable to print, the printer needs to be replaced. You can contact HP Support by clicking on this link and filling out the form at the bottom to discuss options based on your warranty.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to resolve this issue or reach some resolution with support, please click on Accept Solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs icon. Both icons are below this post.

I am afraid that plugging it directly to a wall socket didn't make any difference.  I had already done all the cleaning etc before I posted the query.  My rollers at the back are definitely not moving freely.  Should they be able to move freely as mine are getting stuck and you have to move back and forth gently to free them for just a second and then they get stuck again.  Can this part of the printer be replaced?  thanks for your assistance.

The rollers are not a replaceable part. The printer would need to be replaced.

Thanks for that.  I have now replaced it.  Very disappointed as really thought this was a good printer and it is only just over 3 years old.  My replacement Envy 7640 seems much slower and feeds less paper than the 7520.
