Hi @Skemer
Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
I understand that you are unable to print from your Android Tablet and you are getting the error " Printer Not Available "
I'd like to help.
Let's start with a Printer Reset
(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Then clear the Android OS Print Spooler cache
-
On your Android device, tap the Settings icon , and the select Apps or Applications.
-
Select Show System Apps.
-
Scroll down the list, and then select Print Spooler.
Depending on your Android device, tap Storage, and then select Print Spooler.
-
Select Clear Cache and Clear Data.
-
Open the item you want to print, tap the menu icon , and then tap Print.
A print preview screen displays.
-
Next to Select a printer, tap the down arrow to view the printer list, and then select your printer.
-
If you cannot print, turn off and then turn on your Android device. Restarting your Android device might clear the error.
If the issue persists, please remove the printer from the HP Print Service Plugin.
-
On your Android device, tap Settings .
-
Tap More, More networks, More settings, or NFC and sharing, and then tap Print or Printing.
-
Tap HP Inc., and then tap More.
-
Tap Add printer, and then tap Manage printers.
-
Find the printer you want to edit or remove, and then press and hold the printer name until the Manage printers menu displays.
-
Tap Modify to edit the printer name or update the printer IP address, or tap Forget printer to remove the printer.
Then Add the printer again
-
Gather the following items:
-
The printer IP address
-
The printer name
-
-
On your Android device, open the item you want to print, tap the menu icon , and then tap Print.
A print preview screen displays.
-
Next to Select a printer, tap the down arrow to view the printer list, and then tap All printers.
Figure : Tapping All printers...
-
Tap Add printer, and then tap HP Inc.
-
Tap On a Wi-Fi Network, and then type the printer name and IP address in the appropriate fields.

Hi Krazy Toad,
Thanks for you solution to the problem I can now print from my Samsung android tablet.
Printer reset and restarting the Samsung android tablet did not resolve the problem, the Cache was located in Apps, Settings, Apps, Device Maintenance, Storage on my Samsung android tablet.
The steps removing the HP Print Service Plugin resolved the problem although the steps on my Samsung Android tablet were Apps, Settings, More Connections, Printing, the 3 dots menu icon, Add printer, option to print Wi-FI or Directly, Manage Printers, tap the printer name, Forget printer. Add the printer again was as per your items 1 to 6. I did observe that the IP Printer Address on the Samsung android tablet was different when removing the printer, perhaps this was the problem.
Thanks again for a very detailed solution to the problem, which was very helpful. Not sure where I should have indicated the Kudos but the service was 5 star.
Regards.
