HP Deskjet 4670
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a annoying problem with my HP Deskjet 4670 when scanning a document. Scan is cancelled the moment it's complete. So far, scanner has worked without any problem.

I've searched the HP forum and I've found the problem again and again on HP printers. The solutions were again and again the same: check drivers, reinstall software, reset printer, reinstall OS, go to Linux, change your job and so on.

The problem has nothing to do with that. I've reproduced the problem on 3 computers (Win7 and Win10), so forget about reinstalling software, drivers and so on.

The problem, at least for me, is much simpler. There is a bug in HP software, that's all. If your document has a lot of color on it, I mean on the right margin on scanning area - boom! Scan is cancelled automatically. That's all. Rearrange your document in order to leave free space on the right margin of document when scanning.

Sorry, this is not a question. But I cannot post to old threads and I think it can be useful for some people.
