I recently purchased the HP Envy 5020 printer and the basis that it scans. But the HP smart app (on android 9 samsung A8) says it's not compatible with the printer and i need to choose another printer. I have the latest app version and the latest printer firmware.
How can this be fixed?

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you uninstall the HP smart app from your phone and then reinstall it. Then follow the steps in the below article and check if it helps.
