Set .jpeg as the default format?

How can I change the make  HP V1N01-64001 default format to .jpg. My printer automatically defaults to .pdf format. This waste a lot of time when scanning  large quantiles of documents and photos.  For some odd reason HP will not allow you to scan consecutive documents. There is no one button or one click command included. This waste huge amounts of time and cost having to repeat the setting over and over for each document.  In business the old saying is that "time lost is money lost" applies here. Help

Welcome to HP support community.

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

• In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
• Select your HP printer.
• Select Uninstall.
• In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
• In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
• Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
• Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
• Click on Drivers tab.
• Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
• Select OK.
• Remove all instances of the same.
• Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
• Close Devices and Printers. 
• Restart the PC again.

The process you outlined did not accomplish anything. A test scan was performed. When completed it still defaulted to .pdf format.

Which application are you using to scan?

I am using the HP Smart app.
