Trying to connect printer with laptop.

 

pin from router entered

 

message given.   The pin isn’t correct. Please try again

 

have entered password and was pin given on back of router but won’t accept either

 

any helpful suggestions gratefully received

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I believe you are trying to connect to the wi-fi direct network of the printer and it's asking for the wi-fi direct password.

Try 12345678.

If it doesn't work then to find the Wi-Fi Direct name and password, press the Information button (i) to print a printer information page.

Try the wi-fi direct passcode/password from that information page.
