When I try to print, it always comes out slanted. Not too much to bother me normally but I am trying to print out an activity. This activity requires double sided printing and cutting it out. Due to the slant, the front and back of the pages are not alligned so I can not cut out the paper properly. I even tried manually reloading the paper for double sided printing instead of doing it automatically, I still get the same problem. There is no problem with what I am trying to print either. The template is completely straight and alligned.

Note: I saw some posts about the fix for the slant, but they asked for taking out the duplexer. I don't know what that is or how to take it out.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Does this happen while copying too?

If you're on a Windows Operating System, try these steps:

Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Once done, please download and install the software from here:

I am trying to print via a chromebook or a samsung tablet. It still comes out slanted. And copying comes out slanted too. I measured the tilt, It's only 1.5 degrees counterclockwise but over the span of the paper it becomes a great difference if I want to print something front and back and it has to be alligned.

Also, now the printer is starting to have another problem. The printout gets cut off at the top. I was trying to print 6 copies of an image. I printed 11 copies of a perfectly good image and only 5 of them came out correctly. The other 6 were cut from the top or the bottom by atleast 2-3 inches. I couldn't try to print another copy, becase the misprints wasted all my ink. I had half of the black cartridge left before i started printing this. Now the misprints took up all my black ink and wasted it. The papers were pushed all the way in as far as they would go in the paper tray and while trying to fix the slant, I even tried to allign my printer multiple times. That did not help at all either. This is not just a problem with that image. I even tried printing a pdf of an essay that I typed. That also came cut out 2 out of the 5 times that I tried. This problem does not come while copying though.

We'll have to perform a reset on the Printer for this. I have sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.

Please do check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.
