Product: HP OfficeJet 3830
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot change my printer preferences on any program - ie Word, email programs, excel, internet pages.  Theprinter shortcuts have a locked padlock on them.  When I go into the HP page I cannot open the Printing Prefences tab.

Hi, those shortcuts can not be changed but you can create new ones by changing one or more of the selections & using the Save As option.

The answer given makes no sense to me.  I need more precise explanations.  My printer properties on my HP 3830 suddenly are locked, with little padlocks on each one.  The printer won't print.  Apparently this happened this morning, because one doc printed, none of the rest will print.  Nov. 21, 2019
