I cannot print using transparencies with the pagewide pro 477dw.  The printer will take the transparency halfway in and then tell me there is a paper jam.  I have tried changing all of the setting to adjust this so it will accept the transparency with no luck.  I could really use some help if there is a fix or hack for this to make it work. Extremely frustrated.

Transparencies are not supported on Pro 477dw that could be the main reason why it will not work.
HP inkjet printers that support transparencies must use special transparencies for inkjets, they will not work with normal transparencies.

I realize this, which is why I was looking for a hack or fix for it.  I can say I am very disappointed in spending this much money for a printer that will not do what my cheap $30 printer can.  I need clearer resolution which is why I am looking for a hack for this one.

477dw uses optical sensors ( think it has 5 of them) to monitor media path, moving and presence of media, light emitted from optical sensors reflects from white paper surface, but it's not reflected from transparent media.

I have a hack and it works!! I taped a single sheet of white paper to the back of the transparency paper using double sided tape. taped two thin spots at the top between the sheets. it printed like a charm. BAM! I was only needing to do one sheet at a time to make memorial ornaments.
