Welcome to HP support community.

Enable Tray 2 in the printer software

  1. Search Windows for devices and printers, and then select it in the list of results.

  2. Right-click your printer, and then select Printing Preferences.

    The Printing Preferences window opens.

  3. Click the Paper/Quality tab.

  4. From the Paper Source drop-down menu, select Tray 2.

  5. From the Paper Size drop-down menu, select the appropriate paper size for the print job.

  6. Click Apply, and then click OK.

  7. Try to print from Tray 2.

Update the device settings

  1. earch Windows for Devices and Printers, and then select it in the list of results.

  2. Right-click your printer, and then select Printer Properties.

  3. Click the Device Settings tab, and then click Update Now.

  4. Try to print from Tray 2.

Upon clicking "update now" they Tray was marked as not installed.  The tray is installed on the unit. I can click on tray two but nothing will print from it.  Don't know why it isn't being recognized.

Any other solutions???
