My printer indicates an orange light by the ink showing that there is some issue/error with the tri color cartridge. I'm really confused by this because I have never even printed anything in color. I have just been using the printer with the color cartridge taken out because when it is in, it gives the error and does not allow any printing. I now have something I need to print in color and know that this ink cartridge is full (it is also the exact one that came with the printer originally). I'm so frustrated!!

Update the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Also, have you checked you HP Instant Ink account page? Your Instant Ink account page will have notifications if there are any issues with the account or recent cartridge shipment, it will even provide solutions on how to fix the issue. You may log in to your HP Instant Ink account page from here.
