Trying to set up brand new Enby 5010 - just keeps saying paper jam!

Envy 5010
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I'm trying to set up a brand new Envy 5010 printer but it just keeps saying paper jam.  I've tried all the online solutions etc and even HP what'sap but it's still not working.  Anyone had the same problem, if so how did you resolve?

Thank you

@Sarah002

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Follow the steps mentioned in this document to troubleshoot a paper Jam Error on the printer.
  • If you do not find any papers/cardboards inside the printer, check if you are able to bypass the error message. We can perform a factory reset on the printer which may help if the printer screen is not stuck at the error

Let me know how this goes.

I share your pain, ours too! Spent ages doing everything you have to set up our new hp ENVY 5010, including your suggestion Kumar, and finally the WhatsApp support have suggested - replace it. Never had any problems setting up a printer before and am not feeling too kindly towards hp 'Easy connections'!

@JMC82, Welcome to HP Support Community!

If you have already performed the steps from the document Paper Jam Error and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
