HP 902XL black cartridges - 2 - bought at the same time do not print. Color cartridges print. Genuine HP. No help online. This will be the last HP printer I ever buy and certainly the last genuine HP cartridges.

@teressak, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print in black. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Clean the printhead

  1. From the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

  2. Open the Printer Maintenance menu.

  3. If necessary, open the Tools menu, and then touch Clean Printhead.

  4. If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning. If necessary, repeat these steps for the third cleaning cycle.

NOTE: If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform all three levels of cleaning again.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page, and then evaluate the results.

  1. From the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

  2. Open the Reports or Tools menu.

  3. Touch Print Quality Report.

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer as this could be a hardware issue.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
