Product: OfficeJet Pro 8720
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have an OfficeJet 8720 and had noticed a lot of ink usage. After monitoring this, it appears we are not using it enough to warrant the amount of ink. Wondering about unofficial use after hours. The printer is in an open space. Is there a way, lock or something, password, anything that can be used to control the use of this machine?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know whether you can restrict the unofficial use of the printer.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I would like to inform you that there is no option on the printer to restrict it from unofficial use. The only option is not make sure that people do not have access to the printer physically in the unofficial hours.
