HP Office Jet Pro 8600

I need to be away from my home for an extended period of time (at least a few months). What are the best ways to preserve or prolong the life of a print head?

Some people have said to place the print head in a sealed bag or container with a piece of damp paper towel to keep the humidity up. Others have suggested enabling remote printing feature and printing to the printer at least every two weeks.

The second solution seems reasonable, but also seems like a significant waste of ink and paper. The first solution seems like the best idea, but only if it actually works.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jared

Probably turn it off and keep inks the right way will do. Please use the following guide for inks
