Envy 5010
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Just purchased Envy 5010. On a duplex document the last part won't print. On a 3 page document the first half page didn't print and on a 32 page document the first 1 and a half pages didn't print. The printer just came to a stop before completeion. All the other pages printed without a problem. No problem with printing multiple single page documents. Any thopught? Thanks

Welcome to HP support community.

 

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector and printer.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware

Refer this HP document for the steps to update the firmware:- Click here

 

Download and run Print and scan doctor

  1. Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  2. Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
  3. Once HP Print and Scan Doctor is open, click Start, and then choose your printer.
    • If your printer is not listed, turn it on and click Retry.
    • If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in the tool.
  4. Depending on the problem, click either Fix Printing or Fix Scanning.
  5. Test results are displayed with icons:

Hi,

 

I have gone through all th steps of the possible solution ,but the problem is still happening. I have tried printing a 4 page duplex document but after the first two sides had printed the printer stopped and an error message came on screen to say the document couldn't be printed.

This might require remote access of the computer to fix this issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
