Scan Doctor is up to date, copying off the glass causes NO problems. Only when I use the document feeder.
I've cleaned the rollers with qtips and alcohol to no avail. Need advice. PapaJD

Doctor cannot detect dirt, though it might recommend cleaning (maybe?).
If the printer has two "glass" sections, one large rectangular section and one long, skinny bar to the left of the larger glass, the ADF is using the long, skinny bar and not the larger glass section.
Page 6
Next, The dirt might be a tiny, tiny spec of 'something' along the edge of the glass bar.
Use a flashlight (torch in the UK); shine the light at an angle along the glass.
Clean, clean, clean.
Use a tiny brush to sweep all along the edges of the glass.

Dragon Fur, you must have dealt with this before because I was able to fix my problem. I found a little white piece of whatever and when brushing it the piece slid under the glass, in the same spot. Is there a way to get under that strip of glass? I can't find how to access under it to get the piece out. Anyway, the problem is fixed.
Thanks so much for your help.

Edits - fix silly grammar mistakes.
You are welcome.
Yes, I have seen this. In once instance, on a printer that I no longer have around, I did make the situation worse by brushing the "something" into a place I could not reach it.
No, unfortunately, I do not know of a good way to remove the glass.
Stay Safe.
