Why is there a black border all over my printed clip art images? How do you get rid of this?

@TG74

These complaints are all over the Internet, for every brand printer, for MacOS, for this and that, for years and always...

I would guess that the image type is to blame.

If you translate a .png file to .jpg , for example, you lose that lovely transparent background.

Clip art might be other than a plain, regular, .jpg file.  For example, it might be a .png file.

If you translate the .png file, it will destroy its transparency.

Having lost the transparency, the background might print a border box or the background might print black.

?

How to print "it" (your clip art) ...

Try

  • Insert your .png file into a Word document and print that.
  • Open .png file in Paint (mspaint) and print.
