Product: DJ 2676
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have been an  HP DJ user for about 30 years. Latest is DJ2676 just over 3 months old. I have two computers, one connected by cable and I connected the other by WiFi (via the router) and did not have any problems.

 

I have swapped the computer locations and canot connect the more distant computer by WiFi, either through the router (I enter the router PIN, which I know by heart, but didrecheck, abd get told that it is incorrect.

 

I the tried WiFi Direct. I turned it on at the printer, shows strong signal and is detected by my computer. I try to add the printer fromwwindows 10. A page with a PIN gets printed out (different one for each attempt) and I enter that. Tries to connect but after a while says Failed.

 

I am 78 years old and the mind is getting a bit fuzzy. Can somebody help me by giving me a step by step very detailed instruction for the WiFi Direct method? (Running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Insider Preview, on both computers)

Hello,

 

The password for the Wi-Fi Direct is 12345678 by default. To learn more, go to Print with Wi-Fi Direct.
