Do the new OfficeJet Mobile printer models 200 & 250 allow both a wireless and USB connection at the same time? Does plugging in a USB cable disable the wireless connection? Can the wireless connection be disabled through configuration? The User Guide describes how the HP printer software can be used to change from a USB connection to a wireless network (and coversley WiFi to USB). Later in the same document it says "Wi-Fi Direct can be used while the printer is also connected either to a computer using a USB cable or to a network using a wireless connection."

The one connection limitation is on the computer. Windows support only one connection for a device, i.e. on Windows you either install the printer as a USB printer or as a wireless printer, not both at the same time.
The printer supports multiple connection types. So you can connect to the printer with USB on one computer, and on another, wireless.
To disable wireless on the printer, just turn off the wireless using the button on the printer.
By the way, Wi-Fi Direct, which is yet another type of connection mode, typically used for print from smart phone type device directly to the printer (printer acts as a host, not on the computer network).
