Wrong cartridges received for my HP Officejet 3831

HP Officejet 3831
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have setup my printer Officejet 3831 using the HP Smart app. However the app recognize automatically my device as a different printer (Officejet 3830 series), thus I am receiving wrong cartridges as per my current plan.

 

How can I correct this wrong setup and receive the correct cartridges type (model 302)?

I understand you have issues with cartridges received from HP. To provide you with an accurate solution, I'd like to know the following-

 

May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Send us the picture of the ink cartridges attached.

 

We would need some information related to your Instant Ink Subscription. This information cannot be shared on a public post.

Hi @CarrisiMarco85

 

Thanks for replying. HP Officejet 3831 is a part of HP Officejet 3830 series. The Instant Ink cartridges are numbered or labelled differently than the regular ink cartridges. 

 

I'd suggest you try installing the Instant Ink cartridges and see if you can print.
