Have preformed all the cartridge cleaning and alignment procedures and my black print is still too bold and run together

I suggest you change the printer settings to use draft mode and check if that helps:

Please use the below guide to find the printer driver settings:

• Quality Settings or Media menu on the Paper/Quality tab
• Print in Max DPI or Output Quality menus are available on the Advanced tab or in Advanced Options
• Printing Shortcut tab might include shortcuts with a quality setting option.
