My black toner isn't printing at all.  It's as if there isn't a toner cartridge installed.  And it's a fairly new cartridge.  Suggestions?

My HP Photosmart 5520 All in one printer doesn't print the black properly in spite of new cartridge

Thanks Jabzi but I have been trying all the possible solutions and the Virtual Assistant but no luck.

Hello Brendita, 

On the printer control panel,
1> touch Settings, then
2> touch Tools, then
3> touch Clean Printhead

 

You may perform the above steps for atleast 3 times.

If issue still persist, then its an faulty printhead. The printhead in this printer is a fixed part hence printer service/replacement would be required.
