HP OfficeJet pro 8730

I have a printer Printer HP OfficeJet pro 8730 SN: [edited].  By mistake the Setup ink cartridges have been misplaced i cannot find them.  I have bought new set of HP original cartridges which is not working. Its asking for the Setup ones. Can you please advise how to bypass this setup?  It's really urgent.   Thanks.

@Ravi_J Welcome to HP Community! The only way to bypass the setup ink cartridges is to perform an OOBE reset and its specific to printers, if the steps are used on any other it may render the device unstable, hence I suggest you check my private message for steps its the safest way of sharing this information:

Me too. HP OfficeJet Pro 8730. I actually have the setup cartridges that came with a new printhead (genuine HP), but for whatever reason, the cyan one doesn't work. I have another cyan cartridge, but it isn't a setup cartridge.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Performing an OOBE reset on the printer may allow us to bypass the use of setup ink cartridges.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
