can't print wirelesslyfrom pc

deskjet ink advantage 3835
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hello,

I have deskjet ink advantage 3835 printer and I can't print wirelessly from my PC.

I'm using hp smart app on my phone and laptop and it works with no problem.

my windows 10 is updated to the latest version both on my PC and on my laptop (version: 1909, OS build version: 18363.657).

I tried using the hp smart app on my PC and I succeed installing and setting the printer, but when I tried to print a document I get the error "the printer couldn't print Simple pdf print".

I tried uninstalling the printer's driver (removing it from "device manger", "devices and printers" and "print server properties") and installing the driver from https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-ink-advantage-3830-all-in-one-printer-se...    (I tried almost every driver there, including the softare utility, 163.5MB)  but it didn't work, I got to the "register product" window, I closed it and ran the "HP Print and Scan Doctor for windows" , and after the printer didn't printed the "test-print" It says "there is a problem with your software that cannot be fixed by this tool. remove the software by clicking "uninstall", reinstall the software with the product CD or by downloading the latest Full Feature software from HP customer care", whice I already did.

I beleive that the problem is either some printer setting on my PC, or that the driver isn't suitable for my PC.

please let me know what can I do make it work, or at least find out what the problem is.

thank you,

ori.

@OriJoseph

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

Use this link for details on using the HP Print and Scan doctor: https://hp.care/2JyaC93

If the issue persists, let's do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.)  Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Let me know if this helps.
