cartridges are not intended for use in this printer

Product Name: hp envy 4524
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, i have a ink account that sends me cartridges when they are going to run out, however my printer is now showing: cartridges are not intended for use in this printer. whenever i try to print something. i have only ever had the cartridge in that was initally sent. The printer is showing no ink but on my online account is says there is ink!!! how can i get this resolved?

I understand when you install instant ink cartridges on your printer you are getting an error cartridges are not intended for use on this printer

 

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

 

Did you make any changes to your printer?

 

Have you tried checking with a different ink cartridge?

 

As you mentioned when you install instant ink cartridges on your printer you are getting an error cartridges are not intended for use in this printer

 

Try the steps recommended below.

 

Restarting the printer can sometimes resolve an ink cartridge error.


1.Turn the printer on, if it is not already on. 


2.Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.


3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.


4.Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.


5.Wait at least 60 seconds.


6.Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

   note:

HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.


7.Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.


8.Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move. 


9.Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
