color not printing on printer

HP officejet 3830 all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This happened before, but I forgot the procedure for getting color to work.  Isn't it something to do with fax setup?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Does this happen with all application?
  • Are you able to make a colour copy?
  • Did you check the print settings?

Echo Lake,

 

Thank you for getting back to me.  As I said this happened in January, nothing prints in color.  I believe it has something to do with the fax hook up.  The phone cord for fax machine, one of the tips broke and it will not stay connected.  I have not found one yet, any suggestions?

  • Could you please share the picture of the broken cord? 
  • The damage is on Printer or phone cable line?
