deskjet 2050 how to Change region code for ink cartridges

hp deskjet 2050
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Hi,

 

I moved from europe to africa and have access to hp 122 cartridges instead of HP 61...

 

I read that there has to be a change of region.

 

the HP 122 cartridges that I purchased give an error.  uncompatible cartridge.

 

what can I do?

I understand that you have moved from Europe to Africa an  your HP Deskjet 2050 All-in-One Printer does not accept the HP 122 ink cartridges.

Hello, Can you share with me how to regionalize the F2050 HP printer. I moved from Brazil to the US and I'm facing the same issue.

Are you using a HP Deskjet 2050 printer?

Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.

 

HP customizes some printers and ink cartridges to meet local customer needs. If you take your printer from one country/region to another country/region, you might not find ink cartridges with the same number on the label as your original ink cartridges. If you install an ink cartridge with a different number on the label, you might see one of the following error messages:

  • Incompatible Cartridges

  • Cartridge Not Intended for this Printer

  • Incorrect Cartridges

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.  

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
