when printing in Duplex mode the text at the bottom or the top of the page is cutt off. I have tried various fixes suggested by various people. they seem to work initially but then the problem always returns.

@sanserve Welcome to HP Forums!
Here's what I suggest we do:
check print preview and paper size
set Preserve Layout to 'No'
Save settings, restart the device and check if it works.
I hope that answers your query,
If it did, simply select "Accept as solution", to help the community grow,
And if you wish to thank us for our efforts, click on the thumbs up for kudos.
Have a great day ahead.

Thank you again for your solution. I see that you are an employee. I would like to say that I am very pleased with my printer and I always use genuine ink. I tried on an older inkjet to use after market products, but it cost me a new printer. Except for the text cot off problem that's now solved there's never been an issue. I am very pleased with the product after 5 years
