error code 0x6100004a - carriage stuck on right side

HP Office Jet Pro 6978
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I getting an error code on my Office Jet of 0x6100004a and the carriage is stuck on the right side of the printer.

 

There is no paper jam and I've power down multiple times and am unable to move the carriage.

 

Any suggestions

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

If you are unable to move the carriage manually, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue.  If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document and the issue persists,  please contact our HP Support team for Service Options as it could be a possible hardware issue:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.

6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
