Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all.  I just purchased an HP Officejet 5255 all-in-one printer.  On the initial startup there are 2 error codes.  "OXC4EB8008" and "HW_MICCI2_V12".  The cartridge bar never moves so I can't even install the ink cartridges.  Not sure what to do.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Make sure all the packaging materials/plastics have been removed from inside the printer. Look for any leftover cardboard.

Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this document.

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
