Whhat does it mean when it says my printer is in error state and how do I fix that?

As I understand the printer is in error state and you need a solution,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution: 

Did you attempt performing a hard reset to release any excessive static that could be causing the issue?

Did you check for any other HP Forum posts to help resolve your concern?

 

If you haven't, Here's a related HP Forums post that seems to have helped others: Click here for the steps.

I recommend you follow the steps below & if the issue persist, the above link = ^

  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet,
  • then wait 60 seconds.
  • After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in.
  • Ensure you plug the printer directly into a wall outlet.
  • Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
