Hello, @Spammo – Hope you are well 🙂
Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a great location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!
I see that you are having issues while connecting your printer to the new computer. Going through the post, it looks like you are trying to connect the printer to a USB 3.0 port. USB 3.0 is a newer, faster USB port and sometimes might cause issues while you connect an older USB device to this port. Please check http://hp.care/2htdpiA to understand how to find out if you have a USB 2.0 or 3.0.
Ideally, you should be having a regular USB (USB 2.0) port as well on your computer. So try connecting the printer to different USB port to try and fix the issue. If the issue still persists, check http://hp.care/2htfLxX and follow the steps under “USB 2.0 Device Does Not Work When Connected to a USB 3.0 Port”.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
Cheers 🙂
