The original Instant Ink start-up cartridges are empty. I have tried to insert new HP ones, but the printer message says 'only one set ofinstant ink can be used'. I have not subscribed to Instant Ink as I can only use a wired connection from printer to PC. How can I get back to printing again?

Kindly check if you are again using a new Instant ink ready cartridge.
I'd suggest you to try below steps..
1> Disable the Web-services . Click here to do so https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04808536
