I get a message to replace the ink cartridge.  I replace the cartridges and still it tells me to replace them

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? What cartridges? What exactly are any error messages on the printer or computer screen?

The printer is HPofficejet 4630 and the operating system is Windows 10.  The ink cartridge is HP 61.  The error message is to replace the ink cartridge even after replacing the cartridges with new cartridges.

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve the cartridge errors on your Officejet 4630. 

 

If the issue persists please verify a few things:

  • Did the issue happen upon inserting a new cartridge or did the cartridge initially work but gave the error after some use?
  • Was the printer initially purchased in the US and using 61 cartridges?
  • Are the cartridges genuine HP or third party cartridges?
