HP Officejet Pro 8715 All-In-One printer

I've been successfully using aftermarket ink cartridges in my HP 8715 all in one printer.  The last HP update sent to my printer now produces an error message telling me to replace the defective cartridge.  I've tried everything I can find on the internet but have not found a solution except to pay 4 times as much for Genuine HP ink cartridges.  Can anyone help?  Thanks.  --Roy--

As a follow-up to my above mentioned issue I feel compelled to say that I was skeptical regarding HP's commitment to it's user community.  I was, however, surprised and pleased to find that HP reached out to me personally with an interim resolution and an affirmation that the underlying issue is being addressed.  It's not easy to change my mind but I am now confident that HP will resolve this issue to the satisfaction of all effected users.
