lines in magenta and black cartridge

OfficeJet 3830

I have been getting lines, primarily in images but sometimes in text, when printing with my OfficeJet 3830 inkjet. I have cleaned the print heads and done the "second level cleaning", as well as aligning the print heads with the printed/scanned alignment page. On the test pages, there is always a white line in the magenta blocks, and a dark line in the black/gray blocks, about 3/4 of the way down the block. (See marked spots in the images below). Is there something I can do to solve this, or do I have a faulty ink cartridge? The cartridge came via the HP InstantInk program.
