Help.....My officejet 4650 printer has stopped printing in colour

@zentrum, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Try making a standalone color copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

If the printer makes color copy and you have issues only while printing from PC, run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

 

Check the estimated ink levels

On the printer control panel, touch the Ink icon  to display the current estimated ink levels. Replace any low or empty ink cartridges.

 

Clean the ink cartridges

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, then touch Setup.

  2. Touch Tools, then touch Clean Cartridges.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

  2. Touch Tools.

  3. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Print Quality Report.

  4. Look for color.
