I have a paper jam and I am unable to fix after watching the HP video.  The paper is visible from the front and back after removing the duplexer.  The paper seems to be wrapped tightly around the roller.  I cannot pull it out fron the front and it is wrapper around the roller when I look at it from the back.  Any sugestions?

Hey @Dottie11,

I see that you are having some issues with a paper jam in your Officejet 8600 e-All-in-One Printer. I can help you with that, however there isn't a lot that can be done in this situation.

If the printer is still under warranty, I suggest contacting HP Support by clicking on this link and filling out the form at the bottom.

If the printer is out of warranty, the best I can do is suggest more force or cutting the paper with scissors. Those are not HP recommended troubleshooting steps and HP can not guarantee that they will help with the jam, but that's the best I can do.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you can clear the jam or reach some resolution, please click on Accept Solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. Both icons are below this post.

You suggestion worked.  We were unable to unjam our printer.  We took it off the base and then was able to work the paper free from the rollers.
