Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was getting very feint grey print from my black cartridge, so I changed the cartridge, with a new HP original cartridge from an unsealed wrapper.  Having installed the cartridge I printed the Alignment page which has printed with no black and it will therefore not scan correctly.

 

The problem therefore is that I am only getting feint grey from my black cartridge.  I have tried testing other pages and I am getting identical results with my old cartridge and the brand new one

Thank you for your help.  I have followed the recommended steps, the problem still remains.  I'm getting the same feint print with two different cartridges, one is brand new, so it must be some kind of hardware problem.  Time to buy a new printer I guess!

This seems to be a hardware issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
