printer cartridge problem

Hp Officejetpro 8715Example: Pavilion 65XX
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

I installed new  Hp color cartridges in my printer but it still says cartridges depleted.  I have unplugged the printer and reinstalled the cartridges, also cleaned the print head but it still has that response

Do you still get the error message on inserting your old ink cartridges? If yes, this could be a hardware issue. If no, it could be a cartridge issue. 


In either case you would have to contact the HP Support Team regarding the hardware issue if, or for a cartridge exchange if the cartridge is defective.
