@CPSFFS, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Check the estimated ink levels, and then replace any low or empty cartridges

On the printer control panel, touch the Ink Level icon () or ().

Use an automated tool to clean the printhead

  1. n the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow () to display more options.

  2. Touch Setup (), and then touch Tools. The Tools Menu displays.

  3. Touch Clean Printhead.

  4. NOTE: You might have to clean the printhead several times to correct the issue.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page

  1. n the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow () to display more options.

  2. Touch Setup (). The Setup Menu displays.

  3. Touch the Down Arrow (), and then touch Reports.

  4. Touch Print Quality Report. The test page prints. Check if the issue persists.

Let me know how this goes.

Multiple head cleaning solved the color problem.

The color was great except the yellow, which had white streaks as seen on the Print Quality Diagnostic Page of the 6600 all-in-one.  After removing the yellow cartridge and cleaning the contacts with a lint free cloth, the yellow is now fixed.
