hp AIO 8610
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP 8610 AIO   will not finish install or connect.  I get a printer failure: "There is a problem with the ink or printer system error." message.  Using windows 10-64.  Also have tried it on a chromebook box and a Lenovo stick with windows 10.

Let's try these steps - HP Printers - Resolving 'Ink System Failure', 'System Supply Problem' Errors

 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Just to refresh-this was my original problem: "My printer gives me this message when I turn on.."There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off then on. If problem persists, call HP."  I submitted a post tried your suggestions and all others online (that I could find) but all required the download of software (which I have done) or getting to the home screen on the printer.  It will not let me past the screen message above. Thank you for your quick help suggestions, but I'm totally at a loss as what to do next.
