printer touch screen not working

HP Officejet Pro 8500A e-all-in-one

so i haven't used my printer in a good year or two and i need it a lot more now that i'm working from home. the display touchscreen is not working. i have turned it off by the power point, the button and also the rear cord and its still not working. is there any way around this so i can still use the printer? the wireless is not connected either.

printer touch screen not working

Hi @moniqueschouten

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand the display is not working. I'd be happy to assist you.

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue with the printer display.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
