"Incompatible Ink Cartridge" for new black ink cartridge
Product: HP Deskjet 1010 Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
I picked up a new 61 hp black ink cartridge from from Walmart. When I put it in my printer, I get the "Incompatible Ink Cartridge" error even though it's HP brand. When I decided to try my old ink cartridge, I got the same error. I did a hard reset and cleaned the cartridge and its slot, but it still doesn't work. The color cartridge works even though it and its slot are covered in ink.
If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
