After replacing my yellow cartridge today - the printer displayed a "Printer or Ink System Failure" message on the display.

I've tried everything the HP Virtual Assistant suggests (unplugging the printer while it's on and plugging it back in 60 seconds later - also, removing and re-seating all the ink cartridges) and none of that helped.  I thought the new yellow cartridge I put in might have been defective (since the problem began immediately after putting it in the printer), so I bought another new one and put that in - exactly the same result. I put the EMPTY yellow cartridge back in and that got rid of the problem - no failure message. HOWEVER, the machine will not print anything with an empty cartridge installed. I need HELP at a deeper level, please

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'm afraid this is a hardware issue with the printer. If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document and the issue persists, please contact our HP Support team for Service Options:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.

6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
