HP Officejet 4630
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

1st printed blank page, no message. Long time since used, thought maybe needed new ink. Replaced both with new HP cartridges. Got a message to Replace ink, black.  Shut off, unplugged, removed, replaced several times. Message is still there. Can do no other functions with message there.  Noticed ink on me & in the cartridge bed under the color cartridge. Never  happened before.

Questions: Any ideas what's going on & what can I do?

Trying to print pattern to make covid masks for family &  essential employees.  Had to wait a week to receive supplies then another week for the new ink cartridges & now this issue.

Hi @micabn

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

I understand you are not able to print due to this error.

Make sure that protective plastic tape is any is removed from the new ink cartridges before placing them in the printer.

Kindly make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue.

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this could be an issue with the ink cartridge or the printer.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
