I'm trying to set this up with gmail too with the above settings and when I test it I get:

"The printer is unable to validate the server’s security certificate because the certificate is either self-signed or has been issued by an unknown authority. To enable the printer to validate the certificate, import trusted CA (Certificate Authority) certificates into the printer.

To import the certificate, go to the Certificates page, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

Click "OK" to go back. "

Even tried with hotmail. Same result.

I think I figured it out. Test worked.

Hi:

When I click on "App Passwords" I don't get step 4 "Other (custom name)"

It makes me sign on to Google 2 step verification and then says it's going to send a 6-digit code but I never get it via my SMS text msg on my phone.

I'm confused now. I tried shutting everything off and then back on---no luck

thanks

I found a work around for my issue. I've managed to keep my 2-step authentication.
